Kick-off for shipments to section C1 of the HS2 project
The team in China and the UK kicked off the first shipments for a new project, which is part of section C1 for the HS2 project, under very challenging conditions with part disruptions in the South of China and overall challenging market conditions. The first batch was loaded on time and is on it’s way to the UK, where our team will assist the client with final deliveries to site.
The C1 section consists of 21.6km of high-speed rail infrastructure between London and the West Midlands, including a 3.4km viaduct and twin-bore 16km tunnels under the Chilterns. Our clients were awarded with a GBP 167 million piling contract, involving the construction of piled foundations for the viaducts, grouting works, retaining structures for four ventilation shafts, and ground improvement works for the execution of the tunnel cross passages.
