Boats for Lake Tanganyika and Lake Nyasa
The team in China and Hong Kong SAR successfully loaded two brand new supervision boats this weekend. The team planned the delivery of the boats to alongside the mother vessel and oversaw the preparations for the custom build cradles. After all the preparations were completed, we ensured that the two boats were safely lifted onboard and secured for their voyage to Tanzania.
Once arrived in Tanzania, one of the boats will be stationed at the bustling Port of Kigom on Lake Tanganika. This lake provides vital trade connections between Tanzania, Burundi, Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia.
The second boat will be calling the Port of Kyela on Lake Nyasa her home This thriving and growing port provides an alternative route for cargo from Dar Es Salaam bound for Malawi. It does not only facilitate cargo, but is also an important hub for passenger movement between Tanzania, Malawi and Mozambique.
We want to thank all parties involved and wish the new owners a safe voyage ahead!
