Desalination plant for Leading Mine in Chile

As part of our ongoing contract logistic support on the construction of a seawater desalination plant in Chile, we recently moved two units vacuum storage tanks from India. The units were urgently required to be assembled in the main building for testing. The team ensured safe collection from the interior of India and safely loaded them on a RORO vessel.

The past year the teams in Europe, Americas and Asia have been working hard on the shipments for a new desalination plant of a major Chilean mine engaged in the extraction and production of copper concentrate. The project will involve the construction of a seawater desalination plant in Chile with a capacity of 1,050 litres per second. The work will include the execution of maritime works, a pre-treatment system, as well as the development of reverse osmosis and post-treatment technology to guarantee the availability of water resources, the quality of which must be adjusted to the different operating conditions of the mining company.
