Green Power for Nepal
The first shipments for the new Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower near the Nepal–Tibet border, were moved by the team in Asia, after a preparation of several weeks. These shipments of smaller parts were loaded on flat racks under our guidance and successfully shipped on a tight deadline, as the project was delayed heavily by the earthquake that struck Nepal in April 2015 and which caused heavy damage to roads and bridges near the site.
The project, which will create the largest hydroelectric project in Nepal, is now well underway and is slated to supply two-thirds of Nepal’s current power generation once completed. We want to thank all partners involved in making the start so smooth and look forward in working with them on completing this project on schedule.
