Photos in A Frame
Team UK were delighted to assist our good partners in Brazil with a large project shipment over the last 2 weeks. The shipment consisted of a 179 “A Frame” which on arrival in Brazil will be fitted to an Offshore vessel. The main unit was accompanied by may supporting parts, over 20 wide and heavy pieces and some 6 containers of parts and accessories. We had a significant challenge to overcome in getting a large, geared Break Bulk vessel into a shallow drafted berth on the river Tyne, with only a 6 hour window to complete loading.
Many other parts had to be trucked through the Tyne Tunnel to another berth opposite with deeper water and the vessel had to call both sides of the river for loading. It was real touch and go to get the operation completed but our teams were upto the task and everything was finished just in time. The cargo is now safely on its way over to Brazil where another happy customer is looking forward to receiving their goods. Challenges like this are what define us and keep us driven to find the next exciting opportunity. Thank you to everyone involved for a successful operation !
