Pennsylvania calling
The teams in Europe and the USA successfully managed the turnkey logistics of transporting a new transformer from Europe to a substation in southeastern Pennsylvania. The transformer was transported via a short sea vessel where it was transloaded to an ocean vessel at the port of Antwerp before departing for the U.S. At the Port of Baltimore, the unit was lifted via a tandem crane lift, set to the 12-axel line 38’ depressed deck rail car, then properly secured and inspected before departure. Upon arrival at destination, the cargo was then transloaded to a 10-axel line SPMT and transported alongside the foundation pad, where it was set to the foundation pad without incident marking the end of another successful project. We would like to thank all our team members who made this project a success, and that make our company great!
