Transforming Ohio
The team in the USA helped facilitate and executed the delivery of two GSU Transformers from the origin factory to the project site in Ohio. Delivery of the two units, which were both in excess of 300,000 lbs, utilized a combination of transportation methods: Two 8 Axle Depressed Deck Heavy Duty Rail Cars were required to complete the 9 day transit over three separate rail lines, and an 18-Line Single THP Goldhoffer completed the remaining 1.75 miles of over the road haul to the project site. In the end it took 23 days to safely complete the transport and offload of the two GSU Transformers, marking yet another successful Central Oceans project.
